316 Tamarack Street
CONSTRUCTED: Early 1980s
ARCHITECT: Thomas Kubanek
Even though this home is not historic (as it was built in the early 1980s) its physical design and size in this neighborhood have many visitors asking the questions, “What is the story on this home?” Therefore, this home was added to the West Homes Tour.
This home was constructed by a local family on the site of an orchard in the early 1980s. Surrounded by the lush elegance of historic brick residences, the structure was built to resemble many of those homes.
Many people recognize the spire when they are at Douglas Park/First Street Beach looking southeast. This spire signifies the location of one of the oldest neighborhoods in Manistee.
