Historic Trolley Tour

Hop aboard the trolley every hour on the hour from 11 a.m. thru 4 p.m. from the Manistee County Transportation office on Memorial Drive in Downtown Manistee and enjoy a narrated tour through time highlighting the late 1800s-early 1900s in Manistee. See the neighborhoods and visit the historic Orchard Beach State Park on this one hour tour.

Historic Ramsdell Theatre

Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, The Ramsdell has served as the focal point of culture in Manistee since 1903. The theatre features a front drop curtain painted by Walter Wilcox Burridge, a renowned scenic painter who created the original “Wizard of Oz” scenery, and the stage where James Earl Jones began his career. Manistee Fire Hall

In 2019, Manistee’s Fire Hall was awarded the title for Oldest Continuously Manned Operating Fire Station by Guinness World Records. This beautiful structure and has not undergone any alterations in usage or design since it was built in 1888. The fire hall is open for tours daily except during mealtime or in an emergency.

S.S. City of Milwaukee

S.S. City of Milwaukee

The SS City of Milwaukee is the last of six sister ships designed and built by the Manitowac Shipbuilding company out of Wisconsin in the 1920s. It is hosts a seasonal bed and breakfast and features a Ghost Ship Haunted House in October. Tours are available by appointment.
