In 1911, Dr. Francis J. Hall, a Professor of Dogmatic Theology at Western Theological Seminary purchased a waterfront lot along Main Street in Onekama. Hall soon hired local builder A.D. McCormick to construct a unique chapel on the property.
The next summer, the structure was completed at a cost of approximately $700. In August of 1912 the chapel was consecrated. Hall remained in charge of the Protestant Episcopal Church until 1930. Today, the small chapel continues to serve a congregants throughout the summer months in Onekama.
