Arcadia Lake is a 100-acre, natural beauty gem and Grebe Park, both family- and pet-friendly, offers access to all. Through the park’s association with Manistee County’s Explore the Shores Program, construction of a special fishing platform and launch site for kayaks and canoes mean all are able to enjoy its special attributes.
The lake is lovely, quiet and well worth exploring with access to Lake Michigan as well as Bowen’s Creek leading to Arcadia Marsh. Yellow perch, steelhead, brown trout, crappie, walleye, small-mouth bass and pike make the lake exciting to fish for all ages. There is a playground, shelter with picnic tables and fully accessible restrooms. Arcadia Lake is also a deep-water lake, with quick access to Veteran’s Memorial Marina and boat launch adjacent to the park. From M-22 in downtown Arcadia, turn west onto State Street and left onto 1st Street. It is just south of the Marina.
There are free bicycle rentals through Arcadia’s borrow-a-bike program. Bikes are free, but please return them to the park rack when you’re finished. (The bikes are pink so you won’t miss them!)
