1. Arcadia Bluffs Golf Course

Arcadia Bluffs (The Bluffs Course) is one of the top public golf courses in the nation. Open from mid-April to mid-November each year, weather permitting. Every design aspect of the facility fosters enjoyment for guests of all golfing abilities. Their premier layout takes full advantage of the Lake Michigan bluff and features sod wall bunkers and stunning views. Guests can enjoy a full practice range and separate short-game facility.

The South Course is a tribute to a bygone era in course design that few golfers today have ever experienced. With a focus on strategy and the thought-provoking use of angles, the South Course captures the simplistic nature of courses from the earliest days of golf in America. The Dana Fry/Jason Straka design is located just one mile south of Arcadia Bluffs on scenic M22.

4. Manistee Golf & Country Club

One of the oldest operating golf clubs in Michigan, the Manistee Golf and Country Club was incorporated in May 1901 by a group of local lumber barons and businessmen. Later that summer, the nine-hole golf course was constructed on land known as the Canfield-Wheeler Farm. By the late 1920s, additional land between Eighth and Twelfth streets was acquired and nine more holes were laid out to make the 18-hole course that continues. Today, the course is still in superb condition and, even though it isn’t the longest golf course in the area, nor the most challenging, the views along the middle-front nine and middle-back nine are some of the most spectacular views of Lake Michigan you will find on a golf course in Northern Michigan.
